It’s a trade off. Miss some less significant votes today so that you have more ability to make change in the future. I think it will pay off. Would his vote have swayed the results of any of those votes? I doubt it.

I’ll just yawn. This is very common for presidential candidates. I would have to insult a lot of former candidates and presidents to agree with you.

I agree…. but that same criticism can be offered for many of the candidates… not just Obama.
The votes he HAS been present for are OK… same with Hillary.
That’s why the Republicans are putting Governors up for election – so that it will be more difficult to discern their records.
I don’t think it matters. He missed 80 sessions in the last 3 months; Biden missed 65, Dodd 64 and Clinton 63. However, in the last year, Biden, Dodd and Clinton missed many more sessions than Obama.
At the same time, in the past 3 years, Obama has sponsored or co-sponsored 580 bills in the Senate, and Clinton has sponsored or co-sponsored – wait for it – zero.
