The Man Who Skied Down Everest is a documentary about Yuichiro Miura, a Japanese alpinist who skied down Mt. Everest in 1970. The film was produced by Canadian film maker Budge Crawley. Miura skied 6600 feet (2000 m) in 2 minutes and 20 seconds and fell 1320 feet down the steep Lhotse face from the Yellow Band just below the South Col. He used a large parachute to slow his descent. He came to a full stop just 250 ft. from the edge of the crevasse. Eight died during the expedition's ascent. Crawley won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature for this picture.

Now THAT’S how you get down from a fucking mountain!! Why dont people use this as a last ditch rescue attempt? I mean it’s better than freezing to death, and at least this way you have one hell of an exit!!
Oh and as he was sliding towards the end there, I bet he was wishing he had his ice axe handy, scary stuff!

See the problem lies around the 1:30 mark. You can clearly see him french fry when he should of pizza sliced. If you french fry instead of pizza slicing, your gonna have a bad time.
