Regarding its other “beautiful” parts…. “It’s a CANON… for Music’s sake! …let’s not make more of the noodly violin lines than are actually there, shall we?
It’s a weakazz piece, written by a 3rd-rate composer-. and its only modern relevance comes from a 1981 GE ‘soft light’ light bulb commercial.
THAT’S when all this madness began.
The best thing to do, is to get someone playing the chords and then you all sit around singing different songs to the same chords. It sounds creepy but cool.

Do you know what! – I see the funny side of this but I am going to have to agree to disagree, because there are Politics involved! – No seriously! Johann Pachelbel was one of the most prolific and best German composers of the 17th century! I love Canon, I play it on piano and have heard it at weddings etc. It is mesmerising!

It is great, but If instead if the piano(I play too), you had only 8 notes on the cello(my sister) you might end up jealous. And putting it behind you is not easy. We actually studied its influences on other songs in music, before this came out, and came to the same conclusion.
Well, it’s called canon for a reason.
