Wow, Chloe did a terrible job on her accent. Why didn’t they just hire someone who actually had a one? Chloe’s a bit of a prodigy, but no kid actor has the skill to pull off regional accents. Now there’s a black mark on her record.
Why couldn’t they have chosen. . I don’t know, an actual English girl for this part? I’m not even well-versed in accents and I didn’t even recognize Chloe at first. . but c’mon I recognized hers as false from the first thing she said. .
Was there really no good child actress from England who could’ve done this movie? I highly doubt it.
the music was the same music used in the legend of the guardians o_O
@southport97 50-70% of a film’s worldwide revenue is coming from 3D tickets. Major 3D movies are in production as we speak, like Hobbit and Spiderman. When a movie’s shot in 3D and the director is passionate about it and makes the choice himself to do it in 3D (like Scorsese), the results are usually very good, both commercially and critically. It’s only when studios force a conversion into the mix that 3D tends to be so-so and the exploitation of the novelty becomes apparent.
@carlahills honestly. AND it would make the film that much cooler if it was in french with english subtitles.
I’m pretty sure the background music is THE music for a childhood adventure.
Every singe time I watch this (this was the 13th time) I get the chills, the shivers, and the tingles. EVERY TIME!
@MuchRockness
More like 20% total take is 3D. The current 3D “trend” yes, I say trend because it’s not here to stay and become commonplace, is geared towards parents with children and it’s just a marketing gimmick, nothing more. It does absolutely nothing to enhance the movie going experience and costs more money per ticket. It’s kinda like the new CFL light bulbs – either you like them or you don’t. This is also a lame attempt to market 3D TVs, which again, will fade out in sales.
@southport97 3-D isn’t all that great but i will say the movies in 3-D seems as though the picture and clarity of the movie is a bit better than normal. Even though stuff isn’t popping out in front of your eyes in every scene, 3-D to me makes the movie more clear and crisp.Saying that i only pay for the 3-D movies that i really want to watch…example harry potter
Also, i will only watch a 3-D movie if it was actually shot in 3-D with 3-D cameras.F the bullshat where they shoot a movie with regular cameras and proceed to render it in 3-D afterwards
Respond to this video… Dang i am posting too much…Chloe moretz is the only reason i would watch this movie..she is cool and a good actress 4 such a young girl
dont knock the movie till you see it people…although i would probably wait till it comes out on blu-ray…LOL
@southport97 Typical 3D hater. Just spewing a ton of BS, and I have to scoop it up.
20%? I’m talking about individual movies available in 3D, not all movies combined.
And if you’re privy to what’s “trending” in 3D, you’d know that adult males are usually the most receptive to 3D movies, as evidenced by the higher 3D revenue ratios for movies like Transformers compared to Cars or Kung Fu Panda.
And it DOES enhance the movie. Deal with it. Especially documantaries, adventure, action and gaming.
Other movie of chloe grace wow
2011 … year of the steam punk
Looks really good and 30 seconds to mars in the trailer makes me want to see it even more : D
yeah the song by 30 seconds to mars is a no-no for this trailer
Chloe Moretz for the win!!!
wtf Scorsese
Chloe Fucking Moretz! And the trailer looks fantastic!
her british accent is very good, i’m impressed
30 seconds to mars is kind of odd for this trailer, but it’s still pretty cool
Chloe Moretz!
Bruno!!
I call lies. This has nothing to do with any of the Hugo games.
I love when they make real people like CG. Beautiful.
