I've always been curious. People in the movie that Borat meets look like their not acting or they don't know their being filmed. Are they acting for the movie or not? I'm dying to know the answer!!!

Most thought it was being filmed for a TV show back in Kazakhstan and did not know it would be shown in the US.
However, both Pam Anderson and the "hooker" were in on the joke.
No, they weren’t acting and they tried to sue him afterwards. They were misled in thinking he was serious, when he was really just trying to embarrass them and look stupid.

Haha I am watching it now and I was wondering the same. I suspect he convinced them he was making some sort of documentary so they knew they were getting filmed. It was completely unscripted though. Those are real people.

I really don’t know I think part of it might be candid but others seem staged.
most of the movie is staged and is fake but some part are real. and he even got sued for those parts
i assumed most people were real, but idk, maybe they knew they were being filmed they just werent in on the whole borat movie thing
no they are not acting, most of them anyway. how would they find that many random people who could act that well.

Oh, most of them were not actors. Haha that is the beauty of the movie….these people were totally unsuspecting. He really freaked some of them out….like when he saw a girl and said, "Very nice….how much?"
The girl was not an actress. When he was wrestling with the fat man naked, the people all around them were not actors and did not realize they were being filmed.

The people in that film actually thought that it was documentary and that Borat was really visiting our country. They had no idea it was a movie. They were not scripted and weren’t acting. Actually several lawsuits have been filed against the guy who played borat
im pretty sure they cut the part off where he is like "oh im doing a documentary and stuff". lol
