There is no state religion in Kazachstan. Freedom of religion is a constitutional law in Kazachstan. I know that you saw google claims 57% of Suni muslims but it doesnt mean it’s a muslim country nor christian (40% of population…as u know)
When in Turkey you are forbidden to sell bibles whereas Qurans are sold everywhere,. regardless of the constitutional law, in reality, it is a muslim country. written laws that are not practiced does not mean they actually exist.
yeah good point man but Kazachstan was and still is a tolerant state for any religion..i really love Sasha’s work and he’s a pure genius of modern comedy but he reflected poorly and unfair on Kazachstan people
can’t get what you want you shuck so you joke about it. Imagine if America made a film and made complete asses of you in your country. Maybe a good start would be if you let the women drive then the year after, put them in politics. Who educated you? You should have spent your money on feeding a few hungry people.
Sacha is Jewish, and a brief look at Wikipedia shows that barely any Kazakhstani material is used in the film. The scenes showing Borat’s home village were filmed in the Gypsy village of Glod, Romania, the text is the Russian Cyrillic alphabet. Sacha speaks Hebrew, while Azamat (played by Ken Davitian) speaks the Eastern dialect of Armenian.
It is quite obvious that the film brings out the prejudices in the general American public, rather than exposing Sacha’s hidden beliefs.
so true!! johnnyrock2000. thanks for speaking out.
Whos the guy asking the questions..
**WHAT A ABSOLUTE BASTARD**
