The so called town of Kazakhstan was in fact a small village in Romania.
in the movie the place isnt really kasakstan or whatevr it was fimled somewhere else
I highly recommend this book for all who visit Kazahkstan – we found it indispensable.
Mel Gipson statue is a must see – bring your own potatoes for the kiddies though, the price is inflated if you buy them at the monument
